Airmic's R&D Manager Katie Moore is to leave in January after being offered a top job in industry. She is taking up new post Group Risk Manager at Vodafone, a move that creates a new opening at Airmic for someone to work at the forefront of developing thought leadership and new approaches to risk management.

Katie joined the association eighteen months ago, since when she has been involved in key risk management projects, including Tomorrow’s Risk Leadership, The Changing World of Risk and has worked with stakeholders including CIMA, the FRC and the Cabinet Office on behalf of Airmic members.

“We have been a victim of our own success in choosing a first-class person for this role, and then giving her the opportunity to show what she can do. Of course we wish Katie every success in her new and exciting role, and we thank her for the terrific job she has done for Airmic,” said chief executive John Hurrell.

“Katie's departure provides a great opening for an experienced professional who wishes to work at the heart of the risk world to join us at Airmic,” said technical director Julia Graham. “The new person will be encouraged to come up with their own ideas and expected to make a significant contribution to our technical agenda. They will also represent the association and help to promote us with stakeholders.”

Projects currently underway include work on people and culture, risk appetite and maturity, becoming a risk leader and the digital revolution.
