Airmic members, industry leaders and corporate diversity and inclusion experts will share personal experiences in professional life and how meaningful change can be achieved at an Airmic Fest breakfast meeting on 23 September.

The meeting, which will begin at 8am, will be held under the Chatham House Rule and be moderated by Dexter Tang, Global Equity Compliance EMEA Lead, Finance, Treasury Operations and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Co-Lead, Google Finance EMEA.

The panelists will include Airmic members Tayo Oyinlola, Group Head of Internal Audit, Weir Group and Soowoo Park, Senior Manager, Insurable Risk, Standard Chartered Bank, Chris Lay, CEO of UK & Ireland Region, Marsh and Suneeta Padda, Managing Director, Padda consulting and a committee member of the independent Women in Insurance (iWIN).

The risk and insurance profession, as well as organisations across sectors, are facing up to some hard questions and difficult topics and Julia Graham, Deputy CEO and Technical Director of Airmic, said addressing these head on was the right thing to do.

“We advocate that organisations should go beyond legal requirements to develop truly inclusive workplaces where people are treated as individuals, feel valued and that their contribution matters and is recognised in a fair manner,” she said.

“Our members and partners have an important role to play in achieving this by supporting fairness, transparency and equality of opportunity, as well as challenging behaviours that undermine them.”

To attend the Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast meeting, delegates will need to register for Airmic Fest. For more information and registration for Airmic Fest, visit the website. If you are a member or sponsor and require a voucher for FREE registration, please email Airmic.
