Multinational companies are increasingly using EB captives to meet their people agendas.  In this session we will cover how they are doing it, what needs they are meeting, and the impacts both on the business and employees.

We will cover:

  • What we mean by employee benefits (EB);
  • The common structure of a captive EB program;
  • Companies’ people priorities in the context of recent social and legislative developments (DE&I, pay equity and transparency);
  • How the EB structure is used to meet these people priorities;
  • The impacts on both business and employees

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Explain the common structure of an employee benefits (EB) captive program.
  • Identify which insured employee benefits are in scope for the typical EB captive.
  • Explain how the captive structure enables employers to make their insured benefits more inclusive.
  • Identify some of the risks that employers face when their EB is not inclusive.
