In discussing Nigel Farage’s relationship with the bank’s Coutts subsidiary, the NatWest CEO breached the group’s policy. Her compounding error was that she had not got her facts straight when talking to the media – it turned out that Coutts didn’t drop Farage solely because he had fallen below the qualifying criteria to be a client.
