Bespoke course aims to "demystify" the Lloyd's market
fastTrack members are being offered a unique insight into the Lloyd's market and underwriting process through a bespoke two-day professional development programme.
The programme is tailor-made for Airmic's fastTrack members with a focus on practical and social learning, including the chance to shadow an underwriter, attend networking sessions and hear from specialists on topics such as terrorism, cyber and emerging risks.
"This was a huge success last year. The aim is to demystify the Lloyd's market while giving fastTrack member useful knowledge to take back to their day jobs," according Georgina Wainwright, Airmic's research and development manager.
"Spending time on the underwriting floors and seeing first-hand how the process works was especially popular. Lloyd's works hard to match each attendee with underwriters that are relevant to their role and company, something that previous attendees have found especially useful."
The programme will be held on 13 and 14 February and places are limited. It has been created with members with roughly three to five years' experience in mind, but all members are welcome to apply.
