Wellbeing activities are a must have in the workplace and especially at the Airmic Conference.
Workplace wellbeing is a concern for every industry, and wellness will be an important element of the programme at this year’s Airmic Conference, taking place on 5-6 October in Brighton.
Over 15.4 million working days are lost in the UK every year due to stress, depression and anxiety – 57% of all working days lost to ill health.
The past year of social distancing, lockdowns and remote working has led to increased concerns but also a welcome increased profile for all matters mental health and wellness.
“This year’s Airmic Conference includes a wide variety of wellness and exercises classes to attend.
“Having such a keen interest in wellness and fitness, I wanted to further develop our wellness offering at the conference this year,” says Susi Ozkurt, events manager at Airmic.
Early risers will have several options for activities on 5 October: they can choose between a Tai Chi session or a Yoga class run in partnership with insurer QBE, both at 07:00, or head to the beachfront for a bootcamp session at 07:00 or go for a 5KM run at 07:15 along the beachfront. Lunchtimes on 5 and 6 October will also include a ten minute Mindfulness class, courtesy of Marsh, at 13:15.
“I’m overjoyed that we can offer mindfulness sessions, yoga, Tai chi, beach HIIT boot camp and our infamous 5k run there is something for everybody at the conference this year,” Susi says.
