Key risks are becoming insurable: FERMA survey of risk managers

Fifty-three percent of risk managers think some of their organisation’s activities or locations will become uninsurable in the future, FERMA’s (Federation of European Risk Management Associations) biennial Global Risk Manager Survey Report revealed.

This represented a significant rise from the 41% of respondents in the last such survey FERMA conducted, in 2022.

The report was launched at the FERMA Forum held in Madrid on 20 to 22 October.

Of the respondents who said some of their organisation’s activities or locations will become uninsurable, most thought climate change physical risks and natural disasters was the area where insurance capacity will withdraw (73%), while more than half of respondents predicted that cyber-attacks would become uninsurable.
