Academy Workshop: Introduction to captives and EB – why, what and how

21st November 2024 9:30 – 12:00

How can a captive help manage global employee benefits (EB) risks? How do these work alongside P&C risks to diversify a captive?

Improving the financing of your EB can be a daunting task. If you have considered adding life, accident, disability and medical to your captive but you aren’t sure on how to get started, or are just starting to explore the benefits of adding EB to your captive, then this is the session for you. During the day you will find out all about how to get started on an EB captive journey.

The MAXIS team will introduce you to the different lines of EB business, the challenges captives face and trends to keep in mind for the future.

This interactive session will be work as an open conversation to allow you to ask questions you may have on starting this journey.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Understand how employee benefits risks (life, accident, disability and medical) are effectively financed.
  • Know how employee benefits can help diversify risk in a captive.
  • Understand some of the challenges of starting an EB captive programme.
  • Understand the roles of different stakeholders in an organisation and how they play their part in managing global EB programmes (Risk, Finance, HR etc).
  • Know some of the key drivers in the global EB market and how captives can help address these.
