The hard insurance market has pushed the use of captive insurance companies back up the agenda. Airmic is responding to this demand with a dedicated, full-day event on 23 March.
The Airmic Captives Forum, held in-person at Lloyd’s of London, will have two streams of content for captive owners: new and mature. The captive boot camp will feature a series of short presentations on why captives are formed, how they are operated and managed, and the role they play in commercial insurance programmes.
Experienced captive users will have the opportunity to join a meeting of Airmic’s Captive Special Interest Group on embracing insuretech in the morning. Six roundtables throughout the day will cover topics such as D&O, cyber, employee benefits and structured reinsurance.
There will be keynote panels with new and mature captive owners and a debate on the future of captive insurance. Patrick Tiernan, chief of markets at Lloyd’s, will provide an exclusive update on the Lloyd’s captive syndicate project.
“The demand for content and knowledge-sharing about captives from Airmic members has never been higher,” said Richard Cutcher, Airmic’s captive ambassador. “This forum will be a unique event for the UK, bringing together experienced captive users with those who may be at the beginning of their captive journey.”
The Captives Forum has limited spaces and is only open to Airmic members and invited partners. For more information on the programme and to register, visit the Forum website.
