Welcome to the first Captive Quarterly edition of Airmic News hot on the heels of our second Captives Forum, which was held on 21 March at Lloyd’s of London.
More than 130 Airmic members, partners and captive professionals joined this year’s event, proving that captives remain more relevant and topical than ever.
The high number of prospective captive owners in attendance making the most of the Boot Camp sessions demonstrates that we should be in for another strong year for new formations out of the United Kingdom and Europe.
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) developments are increasingly on the radar for captives and a roundtable addressing this topic at the Forum was particularly popular.
This edition explores ESG and captives in two articles, including news that three captives have now become signatories of the United Nations’ Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI).
Our next Captive Quarterly will be published in June and we look forward to sharing further captive developments with you then – and as part of the agenda for the Annual Airmic conference on 19-21 June in Manchester. We hope to see you there – registrations open next week!
