Now in its fifth year, the Business Excellence Programme is sponsored by AXA XL and has been fully subscribed every year.
Applications are open for Airmic members to join next year’s Business Excellence Programme.
The 2023 Business Excellence Programme is once again sponsored by Airmic Partner AXA XL and overseen by our academic partner, Glasgow Caledonian University.
Set to start in January, there are places for up to 25 Airmic members to join the exclusive programme, which has a 9 December deadline for registrations.
The objectives of the programme are to build the link between business acumen and risk management expertise.
“The Business Excellence Programme is designed to widen the risk professional’s awareness, knowledge and experience of business,” said Airmic’s Head of Learning, Adam Ireland.
“The programme is designed for mid-career risk professionals to be more business savvy. It’s not focused on risk management or insurance topics. The aim is rather to produce more effective risk professionals by contributing to their understanding of the business,” he said.
The programme consists of six modules, each dedicated to a different business dimension. These are focused on: strategy and corporate purpose; business models; finance; information and technology; people; and environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.
“I’d encourage Airmic members to apply. It’s free as part of an Airmic membership, and something that if bought as a stand-alone course would come at a significant cost. That’s reflected in the fact that we’re booked out every year,” Adam added.
If you are interested in joining the programme, please email: excellence@airmic.com by 9 December.
